Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will work as part of a team and assist with accurate and efficient parts inventory management and supply. As Parts Storeperson you will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service and following best practice operational guidelines at all times.
Duties will include:
- Receipting of inbound stock orders
- Dispatch of customer orders
- Stock maintenance
- Liaison with freight providers and parts and service teams
- Stock take as required
- General housekeeping duties of the stores department
- Other duties as required
(Note: some lifting is required)
To be considered for this role:
- Have two years’ experience in a similar role (automotive industry preferred, but not essential.
- Have a good understanding of parts department procedures, specifically inventory management.
- Good communication skills, numeracy and computer literacy.
- Have a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate a customer first attitude.
- Be confident dealing with a variety of customers, both internal and external.
- Basic mechanical interest and understanding an advantage, but not essential.
- A current forklift licence.

Heavy Diesel Truck Service Technician - Auckland

As a Truck Service Technician, you will ensure our clients vehicles are serviced and maintained to the manufacturer’s standard.
Based in our branch in Auckland as a Heavy Diesel Technician, you will ensure our clients vehicles are serviced and maintained to the manufacturer’s standard. You will have a strong eye for detail, ensuring that faults and preventative repairs are identified. You will work on the latest model vehicles from light commercial through to high productivity truck and trailer units at 50 tons. You will work autonomously and be responsible for ensuring that the jobs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Our workshop has a steady supply of work and hours can be varied to suit our customer’s needs. We would prefer applications from people who can have flexibility around evening and weekend work.
This position will suit a technician with experience in heavy diesel or an interest in a change from light petrol automotive. We are willing to train the right applicant.
To be successful in this role you must have;
- A genuine interest in trucking
- Fully qualified Diesel Technician
- The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Experience in a similar light or heavy automotive type role
- A full driver’s license – Class 2 HT license ideal but not essential
- Isuzu Truck knowledge preferred but not required.
- At least 5 years post apprenticeship experience.
- A positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself
- A willingness to contribute to health and safety

The Role

- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections on New Trucks

- Fit accessories such as sunvisors, stoneguards, ali bumpers etc…
- Assist with minor vehicle defects
