CAL>Isuzu open doors as fully-fledged dealership in Whangarei

The first of two new facilities for the servicing, support and sales of Isuzu trucks is now open in Whangarei.

After years of being serviced by a satellite support team led by Commercial Diesel Whangarei, Isuzu has shown its commitment to Northland businesses and their transport partners by inviting its largest dealer, CAL>Isuzu to open its doors as a fully-fledged dealership in Whangarei.

CAL>Isuzu is a privately owned dealership group that has a full range of engineering, design, fabrication, parts, sales and service facilities throughout the upper North Island.

Managing Director and owner of CAL>Isuzu, Ashok Parbhu, says, “My brother started this journey thirty years ago on the front lawn of a state house in Hamilton, and Northland is the logical next step for us. This is a region that needs strong transport infrastructure and support – and we are committed to playing a role to help drive the prosperity of this region.

“We have been interested for some time in the Northland region, and when we do something we tend to go all-in, which is why we are actually committing to two facilities in Logyard Road, Port Whangarei. The design of the second is completed and we are involved in the initial stage of preparing the site for construction with a planned completion date of 2024,” says Ashok.

Heading up the two new operations is Shane Ward. He says the team is focused on making CAL>Isuzu a key part of the Northland transport scene. “The plan is initially to give all of Northland’s Isuzu owners the level of support that has made CAL>Isuzu the largest seller of Isuzu trucks in New Zealand, and then to extend that support to anyone who has a truck.”
