We’re looking for a qualified Auto Electrician to work in our Auto Electrical team within our Engineering department.

We’re looking for a qualified Auto Electrician to work in our Auto Electrical team within our Engineering Team. This role will be involved in delivering the day to day operations of the electrical team which will include the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring and electrical components on late model Isuzu trucks and other brands. Our ideal candidate will have a positive attitude with the ability to work autonomously. Experience within the Heavy Automotive industry is essential.
To be successful in this role you will have:
• A National Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering – NZ based qualification
• Experience with commercial vehicles and electronic AC systems
• In-depth knowledge of the NZ Road Transport industry
• You care for the customer the way we do
• Good communication and time-management
• A clean full Class 1 licence – HT licence ideal but not essential
• A strong focus on health and safety
In return, we offer:
• Hourly rate $25.00 -$37.00 and overtime allowances at time and a half
• Minimum of 40hrs per week and overtime opportunity
• Assistance in obtaining HT licences (Class 2 – Class 5, Dangerous Goods)

Based in Hamilton (Te Rapa) as a Diesel Mechanic, you will ensure our clients vehicles are serviced and maintained to the manufacturer’s standard. You will have a strong eye for detail, ensuring that faults and preventative repairs are identified. You will work on the latest model vehicles from light commercial through to high productivity truck and trailer units at 50 tonne. You will work autonomously and be responsible for ensuring that the jobs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Experience in a similar type role with a relevant trade qualification
• A full drivers licence – HT licence ideal but not essential as we are happy to support you to achieve one
• A positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself
• A willingness to contribute to health and safety

To be considered for this role, you will have a passion for trucks, supported with previous sales experience in the heavy vehicle industry or similar.
