 This is a rare opportunity. Our long-standing Branch Manager will be relocating to another branch, creating the chance for the right person to step into a well-established, well-supported branch within one of New Zealand’s leading Isuzu dealerships.

About the Role

Based in Whangarei, you will have overall responsibility for branch performance, with a strong focus on service workshop operations.

Working closely with the Managing Director and wider CAL Isuzu leadership team, you will:

• Lead the delivery of annual branch and departmental plans aligned with company strategy
• Drive service workshop performance, including WIP control (target ≤ $50K), invoicing, and profitability
• Monitor financial and operational performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions
• Provide strong technical and people leadership across the workshop team
• Oversee efficient workshop processes including bookings, scheduling, job processing, and warranty management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies

About You

You’ll bring solid experience from within the truck or heavy automotive industry and understand what it takes to run a high-performing service operation.

You will have:

• Proven experience in a Branch Manager, Service Manager, or senior operational leadership role
• Strong knowledge of workshop operations, WIP management, and financial controls
• A hands-on, practical leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams

This is a pivotal role within our service department. You will be responsible for supporting our mechanical workshop, coordinating service administration processes, managing customer enquiries, monitoring work in progress, and ensuring jobs are accurately costed and invoiced in a timely manner.

About the Role

• Manage and direct customer service enquiries
• Track work in progress and liaise with technicians and Foreman

The Opportunity

You’ll work across the latest model vehicles, from light commercial units through to high-productivity truck and trailer combinations up to 50 tonnes. Our Parts Team is looking for an experienced parts professional with a passion for the automotive industry. As the Parts Consultant you will work within a team of other parts professionals and be responsible: 

· Supporting our wide customer base with their requirements

· Procuring parts for customers and workshop

· Participating in stock takes

· Managing allocated key customer accounts

· Managing internal customers sales and enquiries

· Providing support and training to more junior staff

Our ideal candidate will have proven retail sales experience with a good understanding of selling, as well as a strong customer service ethic and focus.  You will have knowledge of the automotive industry AND a passion for trucks would be great too!. 

You will ideally have at least two years of retail parts sales experience, strong attention to detail, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. We are open to considering applicants who are in a current Parts Assistant role and are looking for the next career step, or someone who has previously worked as a Parts Assistant.
