Branch Manager – Truck Service Driven
CAL Isuzu is seeking an experienced, hands-on Branch Manager with a strong truck service and operational background to lead our Tauranga branch. This opportunity doesn’t come up very often, as our long-standing Branch Manager is retiring, creating a rare chance to step into a well-supported leadership role within our business.

About the Role
Based at our Tauranga branch, you will have overall responsibility for branch performance, with a strong focus on service workshop operations. Working closely with the Managing Director and wider CAL Isuzu group, you will ensure the delivery of branch and departmental plans aligned to the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
- Lead and deliver annual branch and departmental plans aligned with company strategy
- Drive service workshop performance, including WIP control (target ≤ $50K), invoicing, and profitability
- Monitor and report on financial and operational performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
- Provide strong technical leadership, ensuring staff capability, training, and development
- Oversee efficient workshop operations, including booking, scheduling, job processing, and warranty management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures
About You
- Proven experience in a Branch Manager, Service Manager, or senior operational role within the truck or heavy automotive industry
- Strong understanding of service workshop operations, WIP management, and financial controls
- Technically minded with the ability to lead and develop skilled workshop teams
- Commercially astute with strong reporting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Confident communicator with a practical, hands-on leadership style
- Strong commitment to health and safety, continuous improvement, and customer service
