About the Role
As our Engineering Foreman, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the workshop floor, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and motivating a team of Fitter Welders and Fabricators.
- Coordinating labour and allocating resources across truck body building, refurbishment, repair and fabrication projects.
- Monitoring workflow to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring all work complies with NZTA requirements.
- Supporting apprentices and helping develop the capability of your team.
- Promoting a positive safety culture where everyone goes home safe every day.
- Working closely with the Group Engineering Manager to continuously improve workshop performance and productivity.
About You
You'll be a practical leader who enjoys working alongside your team and leading by example.
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- A National Certificate in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team within an engineering, heavy fabrication or truck body building workshop.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience reading and interpreting CAD drawings.
- Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Road Transport Industry.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, quality workmanship and workplace safety.
- A full Class 1 driver's licence (Class 2/HT licence would be advantageous but is not essential).

About the Role
As our Engineering Leading Hand, you'll support the Engineering Foreman in ensuring the workshop operates safely, efficiently and delivers exceptional quality.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading by example and working alongside the team on the workshop floor.
- Assisting with coordinating daily workflow and allocating work across multiple projects.
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and less experienced team members.
- Ensuring truck body building, fabrication and repair work meets company and NZTA quality standards.

About You

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Parts Store Person to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This position has been created to provide additional support during a period of significant dealership renovations and operational changes. The role will conclude at the end of the fixed-term period when the renovation project is complete.
Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the efficient management of parts inventory while providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receipting and checking inbound stock orders
- Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock control
- Liaising with freight providers and internal departments
- Assisting with stock takes and cycle counts
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe stores environment
- Undertaking other duties as required
Please note: some manual lifting is required as part of this role.
To Be Successful You Will Have:
- Previous experience in a stores, warehousing, parts, or logistics environment (automotive experience advantageous but not essential)
- A sound understanding of inventory management processes
- Good communication, numeracy, and computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
- A customer-focused approach and positive attitude
- Confidence dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- A basic mechanical aptitude or interest (preferred but not essential)
- A current forklift licence
